Middle Creek, After Migration
By May, Middle Creek is left to Great Blue Herons, Great White Egrets and Canadian Geese, along with an assortment of other fowl. Crowds are small. A photographer or two adds the click of a shutter to the hum of insects. Monarch Butterflies flutter from bush to bush. Turtles chase Mayflies. And flowers sway along hiking trails from Spring to Fall.
